
Dr. Peter Nguhiu
Senior Analyst
Peter is a health economist and pharmacist with more than 10 years of work experience of increasing technical and coordination responsibility. He is currently finalizing his PhD studies, investigating population coverage with good quality health services in Kenya towards UHC. Peter has extensive understanding and experience in the oversight, design, coordination, and implementation of mixed methods analytical studies to generate and synthesis evidence for policy.
Peter has also recently been engaged with the WHO Global TB Program to provide technical assistance to various National TB programs in anglophone, lusophone and francophone countries on the analysis and use of country level TB data. He has engaged with various other organizations including the World Bank to conduct impact evaluations and project monitoring activities, DFID/FCDO via in-country health advisory groups to conduct market assessments for non-communicable disease care, Palladium to assess the county level uptake of RMNCAH monitoring tools, HealthStrat Inc. to support the National HIV/AIDS and STI Control Program in indicator selection and target setting, among other activities. Previously, he was involved in implementation and monitoring of county health commodity supply and management systems using a health system lens, while working with Management Sciences for Health (a USAID funded program).
